The Microsmith T-DIO-6 is a self contained intelligent valve controller designed to fit in either a MicroSwitch or Westlock explosion proof limit switch assembly. It has four digital inputs that connect directly to the limit switches in the enclosure; and two sourcing outputs (LM1951) directly drive the external solenoid(s) which are typically connected to a pneumatic actuator. The drivers are over-current and over-temperature protected. A switching power supply assures low current consumption and efficient operation. LED's indicate the status of all inputs and outputs, as well as the Echelon WINK function. Network variables (SNVT's) allow programming time delay, AND/OR logical functions, PWM duty cycle for power conservation or proportional valve control, and status reporting. The device may also be ordered with the ISaGRAF kernel, which allows programming the device in any of the IEC 1131-3 programming languages. Programs may be uploaded over the network into an EEPROM, and the device then executes the user defined program upon power-up. The on-board processor is a 3150 Neuron and the board has a 48K EPROM into which the Neuron's operating system is programmed . A documentation package consisting of a users manual and a diskette containing an external interface file is available at a nominal charge. |
