| Microsmith, Inc. has
developed a line of Echelon based products called T-Nodes. Primarily designed for
industrial control applications, these products are all designed to be interoperable on
twisted-pair (78K TP or free, or 1.25M TP) media. Most of these products share the
following design characteristics: DIN - 3" card width for use in our ABS 94-VO
DIN-rail mount enclosed shell. DC, AC - Wide operating supply input (10-28 VDC; some
models accept AC also). 1131 - Node can be ordered with IsaGRAF runtime kernel, allowing it to be
remotely programmed and downloaded with 1131-3 compliant code (Ladder Logic, Function
Block, Instruction List, Structured Text (Pascal), and SFC (Sequential Function Chart,
also known as Grafcet). Nodes with this option can be programmed using the Transys ISaGRAF
Windows-based 1131-3 programming environment. This allows each node to be debugged,
emulated, and downloaded without a LonBuilder or NodeBuilder. |
This 3120 based 3" x 1.5" card is a minimal node designed for prototyping or low volume custom applications. It has a voltage regulator, reset/low voltage circuitry, and a push-button service switch. It has a small prototyping area for user supplied circuitry. This unit is sold applicationless only to owners of LONBuilders or NodeBuilders. (DC)
This is a simple 3" x 3" node with a ZIF socket for a 3120, which allows you to upload programs and/or communication parameters to 3120 chips. Note: this module does not include a Neuron chip, and you must have a LonBuilder or NodeBuilder to be able to use it! (DIN, DC)

This unit uses the T-FLEX Protocol Processing Module which supports the most popular protocols and eliminates the need for communication programming. It accepts any combination of digital or analog I/O modules (Grayhill or Opto-22). The application layer allows specification of module type and data I/O. (DIN, DC, 1131, FLASH)

The T-I/O-8 model 960702 is an I/O rack module which can accept up to eight standard Opto22 or Grayhill AC, DC or Analog type modules. The modules may be mixed in any order up to the maximum capabilities of the rack. The terminals from each module are connected to a high quality, screw-type terminal block. This unit uses the T-FLEX Protocol Processing Module which supports the most popular protocols and eliminates the need for communication programming.
This is a 3150 based 3" x 8.75" node with 48K x 8 EPROM, 8K x 8 EEPROM/RAM, and 8 module positions for G4 type digital (On-Off) I/O modules. It also features a 9 pin D-sub connector allowing access to external I2C devices. (DIN, DC, 1131, FLASH)

Based on the Echelon Router Core Module, this node can be configured as a router, learning router, or repeater for any combination of Twisted Pair (1.25M and 78K) and Free topologies. (DIN, DC)
Terminator for TP-78, TP-1250, or 78K Free topologies. This PC board is 1.5" x 1", and has termination circuitry as well as two 4 terminal Phoenix type headers for connection to network power (nominally 24 VDC) and network communications. A LED indicates presence of network power.
Designed for use with the NetBosstm I/O line, this device includes a, menu driven, operator interface for setting and/or displaying module parameters. Several different processors are available; each I/O block supports up to 32 I/O's for a total of 192 points per node. This unit uses the T-FLEX Protocol Processing Module which supports the most popular protocols and eliminates the need for communication programming
This device eliminates the need for communication programming of control modules. Each module contains an on-board processor, flash and RAM. The T-FLEX module supports the most popular protocols.

This 3150 based 5" x 8" panel is designed to
emulate a "dumb" ANSI terminal as an operator interface. It consists of a four
line by twenty character supertwist LCD display with LED backlighting, a piezo buzzer, a 4
x 4 keypad, and one each of red and green LED's. It also has a battery backed real time
clock/calendar. The application image includes SNVT's to output characters to the display,
read the keypad, and actuate the LED's and buzzer in either a continuous or flashing mode.
Standard ANSI escape sequences are used for cursor positioning and display control. It
also features a 9 pin D-sub connector allowing access to external I2C
devices. Memory space is 48K EPROM/FLASH and 8K EEPROM/RAM. (DC, 1131, FLASH)

This 3120 based 3" x 4" card has eight
opto-isolated, zero-crossing triac modules with snubbers for switching up to 2 amps at
24-240 VAC. The application image has 8 SNVT's of type lev_disc. (DIN, AC/DC)

This 3120 based 1.8" x 2.1" card solders directly
to the back of IEE, Grayhill, or Micro Switch industrial sealed 16 key (4 x 4) keypads,
making them instantly "networkable" with only four wires. The application image
is taken from the Echelon "Scanning a Keypad with the Neuron Chip", and outputs
an ASCII character each time a key is pressed. (DC)

This 3120 based 2" x 2.3" card solders directly to the back of most 14 pin in-line character based LCD displays. The application image allows display of all ASCII codes 32-127, plus the enhanced character set including European and Katakana characters. Some other functions are available such as clearing the screen, cursor on/off, cursor forward/back/down, and cursor home. The SNVT input is a single character string. (DC)

This unit uses the T-FLEX Protocol Processing Module which
supports the most popular protocols and eliminates the need for communication programming.
It is designed to be used as a controller, timer, and/or supervisor when the necessary
logic cannot be implemented in the individual nodes of a LON. The RTCC has a battery
backup so the time and date are maintained even when power is absent. Accuracy of the
clock may be trimmed through software. This node also features a 9 pin D-sub connector
allowing access to external I2C devices. (DIN, DC, 1131,
FLASH)
