Microsmith, Inc. has developed a line of Echelon based products called T-Nodes. Primarily designed for industrial control applications, these products are all designed to be interoperable on twisted-pair (78K TP or free, or 1.25M TP) media. Most of these products share the following design characteristics:  DIN - 3" card width for use in our ABS 94-VO DIN-rail mount enclosed shell.  DC, AC - Wide operating supply input (10-28 VDC; some models accept AC also).

1131 - Node can be ordered with IsaGRAF runtime kernel, allowing it to be remotely programmed and downloaded with 1131-3 compliant code (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Instruction List, Structured Text (Pascal), and SFC (Sequential Function Chart, also known as Grafcet). Nodes with this option can be programmed using the Transys ISaGRAF Windows-based 1131-3 programming environment. This allows each node to be debugged, emulated, and downloaded without a LonBuilder or NodeBuilder.

FLASH - Node can be ordered with 48K of FLASH EEPROM, allowing it to be remotely programmed and downloaded with Neuron C using NodeBuilder or LonBuilder.

Please note that the 3150 based nodes support the use of 48K EPROM or FLASH EEPROM, as well as an 8K x 8 RAM or AutoStore EEPROM. This large memory model (56K of usable space) uses standard 28 or 32 pin DIP devices, and allows maximum programmability of each node.

All products are supplied with high quality "Phoenix Contact" type wire terminals; but other connectors mounted on .2" pin centers may be supplied. Call for custom configurations.

The following Product Briefs use the above abbreviations to designate the node's features:

T-DI/O-64: T-Node with 64 DC inputs or outputs Model 941101

This unit uses the T-FLEX Protocol Processing Module which supports the most popular protocols and eliminates the need for communication programming. The 64 DC outputs are provided by Motorola MC33298DW intelligent SPI drivers. Since these chips have diagnostic load feedback, they can also be used as inputs for dry contacts or open collector type outputs. These drivers also have built-in snubbing zener diodes for driving inductive loads such as relays or small solenoids. The outputs are rated at 500 mA/channel with all channels on. When used as inputs, these lines are internally pulled to the 24 VDC supply. Terminations for all I/O lines are dual in-line (.1"x.1"), with adjacent pins connected to ground or +24V for easy wiring. (DIN, DC, FLASH)
