About Microsmith

Microsmith, Inc. was incorporated in 1984 to manufacture specialty control products with a focus on fluid power. We have since shifted our emphasis to open distributed control protocols. In 1995 we became a subsidiary of NUMATICS Inc.. (Highland, Michigan), a world class manufacturer of pneumatic valves, cylinders, FRL's etc. Numatics has subsidiaries, distributors, and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Microsmith develops and manufactures electronics products Industrial Distributed Control Peripherals ) for the Industrial Controls Industry. Some of these are built for Numatics and embedded in Numatics' products. Microsmith also has its own Products line, which is presently available for LonWorks. In addition to being a licensed Echelon OEM, Microsmith is a Partner (#13) for the Honeywell/Micro Switch SDS protocol; a Partner (#51) for the Allen-Bradley DeviceNet protocol; and a member of the Profibus Trade Organization.

We have developed, and will continue to develop interchangeable products using these protocols based on our distributed control modules.
